Peace Out Girl Scout, It’s 2020!

I still can’t believe that 2019 is over! Where in the world did all that time go? And how is January already almost over? A little recap of 2019, I had a baby! She is already almost 6 months old. How did this happen?! My crazy toddler turned 2 years old! I hosted two sew alongs for Sew A Little Seam, the Ollie Bomber Jacket and the Movie Night Pajamas. And of course, I did a whole lot of sewing. I try to post a lot of my makes over on my instagram, (both on the grid and on my stories) and you can check out my story highlights to see most of my 2019 makes. I’ve already started keeping track of my 2020 makes in my highlights as well!

2020 Goals

Life is so different with a toddler and a baby. Toddler life drives me crazy sometimes, but I love my two babies so much! One of my goals for this year is to go to our library’s storytime as much as possible. Hopefully once a week if I can swing it! At least until Max starts Preschool in the fall. I still can’t believe he is almost old enough for school!

It’s not necessarily a goal, but I plan on continuing to go to the gym at least 3 times per week.

I need to up my spiritual game, reading my scriptures more, going to the temple more, etc.

More blogging. I’ve been slacking a bit, but not as bad as a few years ago. As i said before, life with kids is crazy! I have a few things planned so stay tuned if you’d like to see what’s happening!

One sewing goals is to sew my stash. I feel like this will be repeated every year haha.

Sewing goal no. 2 is to complete my closet. I’ve slowly been trying to move out RTW clothes and move in more me made stuff (I like those better anyway). My main problem right now is that I have bottoms with prints and tops with prints but NOTHING MATCHES! It’s a little ridiculous. I have a handful of solid/heathered fabric that are set aside for tops. I recently made a few skirts that I can wear with a few different things. I’m getting there. Maybe I need a mini capsule wardrobe or something to get me through, ha. Especially for church, I basically wore one skirt every Sunday because it was the only thing that matched any of my tops since it’s navy blue (I love dresses but none of them are nursing friendly, so….dresses are out of the question).

Sewing goal no. 3 is to sew more wovens. I am a sucker for knits but I’ve been wanting to challenge myself a bit. A little break from all the easy stuff, even though, it’s not really a break!

Sewing goal no. 4 is more sewalongs! I hosted 2 last year and I’m hoping to do a few more this year. The sewalong link up at the top of the page will eventually be full, so check back later or subscribe!

I’m sure there are more goals or things I would like to accomplish this year BUT that’s all I can think of for now.

Do you have any goals for this year? Let me know in the comments below! 👇🏻

Happy sewing!

Cheers!
