Joggerathon – Little Lizard King – Valparaiso

Hello and welcome to another day on the Joggerathon! Next up for the regular fit joggers is the Valparaiso from Little Lizard King. One of the biggest differences with this particular pattern is that it also comes in a romper option! There are also 2 leg lengths (capri and ankle) and optional pockets

* The Joggerathon is going on ALL month long. If you’d like to see the pattern lineup and get more information, click here! Don’t forget to vote for your favorite!

Price: $9.95

Size Range: 10 sizes // 0-18 // 34-47.5″ Hips

Options Sewn:

  • Joggers with pockets in size 2. Inseam is 28.5″ so I didn’t adjust.

My Measurements:

  • Waist – 27
  • High Hip – 31
  • Hip – 36
  • Upper Thigh – 21
  • Inseam – 28
  • Height – 5’4

Fabric

I used Solid Royal Blue French Terry from Raspberry Creek Fabrics. This color blue is SO pretty! This is a medium weight, 95/5 cotton spandex blend that is 10-11 oz. It has a 4-way stretch with 70% horizontal and 50% vertical stretch.

Recommended Fabric: Medium weight fabric with at least 50% 4-way stretch and excellent recovery

Instructions

Were the instructions easy to follow?

I skipped over the instructions for the romper portion but everything for the joggers was good.

Pattern

DID IT LOOK LIKE THE PATTERN PHOTO/DRAWING ON THE PATTERN ONCE YOU WERE DONE SEWING?

Yes it did!

WHAT DID YOU PARTICULARLY LIKE OR DISLIKE ABOUT THE PATTERN?

  • I really like this pair, especially this color blue!
  • I like the taller waistband and that it isn’t super tall.
  • The main thing I don’t like is the pocket opening. I would like it to be more at an angle, but thats merely personal preference.
  • The inseam says it’s for 28.5″ and mine is 28″ but I feel like I could have definitely shortened these a little bit.
  • Super cute pair though and they fit pretty good.

WOULD YOU SEW IT AGAIN? WOULD YOU RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS?

I do like this pair a lot but I’m not 100% sure if I would sew them again (it’s so hard though. There are so many different joggers!)  The romper option is pretty sweet but I’ll never sew it since it doesn’t have sleeves. But if you like rompers and joggers, you might as well get this because it’s basically two patterns in one!

Have you sewn up the Valparaiso’s? What are your thoughts? I’d love to know in the comments below! If you missed the Brassie Joggers yesterday, you can see those by clicking HERE. Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for the Resolution Bottoms from Love Notions!

Cheers!
